Research has found that chromate is toxic and extremely hazardous to human health. Recent EPA and European Union regulations mandate that all clip nuts and fasteners for aircraft and other applications must be free of chromium and/or chromate. Our Torlon® composite clip nuts and fasteners are completely chromate-free.

Marketing Masters’ Torlon® clip nuts are already specified equipment for a number of aerospace OEMs, including Airbus. Our EN6131 composite clip nut replaced the metal ABS 0365 metal clip nut in Airbus’s planes in 2002, making them fully compliant with the above-mentioned regulations.
